Live Training Dates (Virtual):
Friday April 10th & Friday April 17th
4:00 – 7:00 PM PST (total of 6 hours)
This experience integrates:
Didactic teaching
Experiential practice
Specialty consultation
Together, we will demystify the intricate webs of these two presentations by exploring how parts systems organize, protect, and sometimes unintentionally perpetuate the pain they’re trying to prevent.
In this training, we will explore:
The overlap between OCD and CPTSD
How to discern whether a client is experiencing one or both
The inverted reality of OCD and CPTSD, and how parts organize around feared consequences
How protective strategies inadvertently call in what they’re trying to avoid, creating values misalignment
The role of dissociation, predictability-seeking, and choice in both systems
Harm-reduction practices to reduce the impact of symptoms such as suicidality, financial instability, relational rupture, avoidance, panic, feeding challenges, and sleep disturbance
